First game of the NEAFl pits a new team and perennial finalist against each other at home and away stadium or park on the gold coast. No one really knows what sort fo side the suns will put on the park in this first game. They might have quite a few players from last years squad that played games in the vfl, I expect most of them to line up in the afl squad this week as they have the experience and are ready for the big time. Mt Gravatt on the other hand, should have a full strength side in. they have lost a few quality players over the summer and there is some doubts over where a few players are and whether they will play at all this season. Gregg Fris will be a good pick and will probably be a good replacement for Tommy Tarrant. The midfield is strong and really should win them the game.
5 key players for Mt Gravatt
Andrew Scott. Will give them drive and run off the half nack flank
Rory Lake if he can win plenty of the ball in the middle he win them the game
Josh Vearing class player and leads by example all day long
Albert Proud. Collect possessions at will and will add plenty of depth to a classy midfield
Adan Tarrant. The marshal down back now and I expect him to rise to the challenge
this should be a tight game all day for mine. The problem the vultures might have is. Who will be able to kick the goals for them. It will be interesting to see what sort of team the suns put out there for their first game. I am going to tip the vultures in a close game
