WILL MOTHERS DAY BE A HAPPY DAY FOR EITHER THE HORNETS OR THE PANTHERS

Mothers day is a special day for all. But will it bring happiness to either aspley or morningside on sunday. It's a big game and a crucial game for both sides in the scheme of things. Morningside are coming off 2 thumping losses to the front runners of the NEAFL northern division right now and in both games they looked like they were never going to be within a shout of rolling both sides. Aspley last week showed a lot of character in do to woe win over an ordinary labrador outfit to say the least. They have played some good footy this year and the 1 and 3 position they are in isn't a true reflection of their performances this year, they really should be 3 and 1 and probably sitting just inside the 5. but poor discipline has certainly cost them and they cut that out of their game last week and they came away with the 4 points. Morningside are missing plenty and they might get a couple back this week and they need a few of their second tier players to tsand up. The ruck is their biggest problem at the moment and they are getting beaten most weeks. If aspleys midfield brigade can get on top early, they can put the panthers away. This same game last year, we saw the biggest upset in the qafl for many years. I think aspley can get over the line again on sunday and it will put the warning lights up for the panthers season this early
