Eagles Release Official Depth Chart

Thoughts:

• Looks Like Reggie Brown will make this team after all. He is listed as the backup Z wr behind DeSean Jackson, and that means his place on the team is pretty secure.
• Jeremy Maclin was also listed as the backup X wr behind Kevin Curtis ahead of Jason Avant, and Hank Baskett. If the Eagles don't keep 6 WR's one of those two will be cut.
• With Cornelius Ingram out for the season with a torn ACL, it looks like once again Matt Schobel will make this team. Not good, since Matt Schobel BLOWS!
• There was a report that the Eagles are experimenting with the idea of using FB Leonard Weaver at tight end. Weaver played tight end in college, but are you kidding me? Find a real friggin tight end!
• Despite being injured and not practicing at all in training camp, Victor Abiamiri is listed as the starting left defensive end. Darren Howard and Juqua Parker are the backup ends. Chris Clemons and Bryan Smith are the third string ends.
• Quintin Demps is the starting free safety. Sean Jones and Rashad Baker are the backup safeties.
  
• Lorenzo Booker is still listed 3rd on the RB depth chart, even though all reports say Eldra Buckley has out played him. This might come down to who does better in the pre season.
• Joe Mays is the backup MLB, but since Stewart Bradley is out for the season Mays is actually the starter. Pretty shocking that he would start, since he has never played a down in a regular season NFL game. Omar Gaither has started a full season at MLB before, but he will back up Mays.
• Isn't strange to announce an official depth chart before the preseason even starts?
