PHIL-LEE-DELPHIA

Cliff Lee goes to 2-0 as a Phillie with another great outing. Phillies 3 Rockies 1.

In two starts Lee has an ERA of 1.12 and his WHIP is 0.81. Lee phever is starting to take over Philadelphia.

The Phillies rotation was once considered a weakness, but now it looks like a strength. The emergence of JA Happ, the trade for Lee, and Joe Blanton's turn around make this team look ready for another trip to the World Series.

The Phillies actually have too many starting pitchers. Recently signed Pedro Martinez impressed in his minor league start the other day, but it looks like he may have to pitch out of the bull pen. Brett Myers who was once thought to be out for the season maybe come back in September, and he will also work out of the bull pen.

Closer Brad Lidge who has had a really shaky year, is now 8 for 8 in save opportunities since coming off the disabled list.

With Lee in the fold, and the rest of the team doing well the Phillies are ready to make noise in October.
