Michael Vick. Michael Vick. Michael Vick. I am already tired of hearing about Michael Vick. Lately however we are hearing rumor that the Packers (my team) is suposedly interested in bringing in Vick. Now, Vick is a wonderful athlete. I will give Vick all the props athletically. There is no doubt he could help us out - no question. But my problem is this:Bringing in Michael Vick to a place like Green Bay - there would be fans that would boo him. The Media would encase the area of Lambeau Field to get as much coverage of Vick - and this would cause distraction in the Packers locker room. There might even be a media-fed 'QB Controversy' which would totally piss me off. Also members of PETA would show up and everything else. I mean, it would just cause a big mess in Green Bay. I do not like the idea of Ted Thompson or Mike McCarthy even TALKING to Vick. We have Aaron Rodgers - our clear future at QB.
Why would we even consider bringing in Michael Vick for? It just makes no sense. Our team has to learn the 3-4 scheme, and with camps and everything the last thing the team needs is a media frenzy which would probably cause a distraction. The Packers do not need that.
I dont like the idea at all. Even if they did sign Vick and made him a Punt Returner, Kickoff Returner or a Wide Reciever - or even a Backup QB. I dont even like hearing about the idea.
I DO NOT WANT VICK ON MY TEAM!!!
Period.
